Experts tips for success

Choose your pasta carefully: While the recipe requires whole grain pasta, you can use your favorite! Penne, Rotini or Farfalle all work well. The key is to let it cook to keep the bite -so that it corresponds to the other ingredients.

Wurdary choice: We love to use the Joy of Joe’s chicken sausages because they have cooked and have no additional sugar. However, every pre -cooked sausage will work! Just make sure that you cut it into rounds for cooking.

Brokkoli preparation: Regardless of whether you use fresh or frozen broccoli, make sure it is cut into bite -sized flowers. When using Frozen, ensure that it is completely thawed before adding it to the pan to prevent excess water from diluting the taste.

Not to be over cooked: Let the sausage and broccoli cook until it is heated up and slightly tender. You want the broccoli to keep part of its living green color and little bite.

Flavor variations & add-ins

This sausage and broccoli pasta is incredibly versatile!

Sports you on: For a heat kick together with the other ingredients, add a pinch of red pepper flakes into the pan.

Kitschy kindness: A scattering of grated parmesan cheese or nutrient at the end to give a hearty Umami taste.

Lemon brightness: Pressure from fresh lemon juice shortly before serving can lighten the flavors.

Additional vegetables: Feel free to throw in other fast boiling vegetables such as cubes paprika, spinach or cherry tomatoes in the last minutes of cooking.
